Excel Basics

Excel is one of the most popular tools to record, store, present and share data. On this page, we will work on some Excel basics to help new users get used to the environment.

Specifically, we will be working to evaluate students grades. We start by doing some basic formatting. Then, we calculate the Sum and AVERAGE of each of the assessments. Next, we develop the course grade by calculating the weighted average of all the assessments. Finally, we evaluate whether a student Pass or Fail the course.
